EXPERIENCE

Junior Game Designer - Chaotic Works

September 2023 - Ongoing

Worked in Chaotic works as a Games Design Intern and then Junior Games Designer for close to a year, significantly contributing to the ideation and documentation of  numerous gameplay features, converting white-box level design, designing the game's world, narrative and gameplay ecomony, as well as thoroughly playtesting the project. I also gained further understanding of numerous development and technical skills.

Narrative Designer - Lone Tiger Studios

December 2023 - June 2024

Contributed significantly to the project narrative, atmosphere and dialogue, using bespoke tools and UE5. Revisited background lore to fit a darker fantasy tone & atmosphere, reworked character dialogue as such. Wrote and compiled background lore into a referential document for future designers and contributors. Designed and implemented MMO-style quests, with detailed character dialogue, options, and NPC interactions. Designed locations and questlines with player choice and a fully fleshed freedom of approach in mind.

EDUCATION

MA Game Design

September 2020 - December 2021

Achieved Masters. Focused onto environmental storytelling, narrative tool implementation, use of narrative tools and further into writing, and creative writing. My final thesis was on the use of environmental storytelling in metroidvania games, which you can access here!

BA (Hons) Game Design

September 2017 - June 2020

Achieved with secondary honours, I was given the opportunity to learn all the intricacies of games design, from programming to level design, to game theory and on multiple platforms: Unity, physical board games & card games.
